Corporate Identity Brief

We were given a choice of 3 organisations in this brief for which we had to create a new corporate identity. We then had to create a range of stationery showing the logo. The organisations were the School of Creative Arts at Magee, Health and Social Care Northern Ireland and the one I chose, TACT wildlife care trust.

Brochure Design

For this brief we had to contact a local company and ask them if they have a brochure that needs updating or created. I chose the Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust and they gave me the information for their annual biodiversity audit. Because they're a tourism trust I decided to make the brochure look like a book of postcards with images taking up full pages and very little writing on the opposite page. The shape of the pages are small and landscape to compliment the panoramic photos.
The images show each double page spread of the brochure.

Road Safety Poster Design

For this brief we were asked to design a poster to promote road safety. For this one I went for a David Hockney style poster arranging photos of the same road to make up a larger image of a road with the headline "Always Watch The Road" which I felt tied in with the image well because the viewer would look at the image and see several pictures of the road.

I took a retro approach for this poster making the black shapes look like a road with the white text.

For this poster I was trying to make a gripping image that would grab the viewers attention so i made the car look like it's on its side with the driver looking out onto the road. The heading on this one is also Always Watch The Road but with an additional heading saying Distractions Cause Collisions. This tells the viewer that the driver of this car wasn't paying attention to the road when he crashed while the image shows that he is now watching the road.

School of Creative Arts Leaflet Design

The brief for this leaflet design was to use typography only and no image so I decided to make images using type. I used letters of different sizes to give the leaflets a celtic feel. To start off I created the following images by creating a new layer on top of the image and laying down the letters and rotating them appropriately.

I then used these images to make the following front covers for the leaflets.
